A film shot in Kerry has taken a step towards potential Oscar glory this week after it was named as winner of the ‘Best Irish Short’ Foyle Film Festival in Derry. The film, entitled SHIP OF SOULS, was the winner of the Kerry Short Film Bursary in 2020 and as a a result of its win in Derry this week, it means that the film – shot in Castlegregory – is now eligible to be considered for both the BAFTAs and the Academy Awards.
