Meaney wraps NO WAY UP

Principal photography has wrapped on the female-driven survival thriller NO WAY UP, with Colm Meaney taking over the role originally to have been played by Kelsey Grammer, who departed the production due to scheduling conflicts. In the film from director Claudio Fäh (Northmen – A Viking Saga), an airliner crashes into the Pacific Ocean and comes to rest perilously close to the edge of a deep ravine, leaving the surviving passengers and crew trapped in an air pocket. With their air supply rapidly running out, a nightmare fight for survival ensues as dangers from all sides hone-in on them.

In December, the Irish actor, 69, finished his 100th film. “I can’t friggin’ believe it!” he says of the milestone. “For the first time in my life, I can say I’m really, really proud: I’ve made a hundred movies! It’s just extraordinary.” This month, he’s back onscreen in MEMORY, an action thriller from CASINO ROYALE director Martin Campbell. He plays Alex Lewis, an assassin battling early stages of Alzheimer’s disease who becomes a target himself when he refuses to complete a job assignment from a dangerous criminal syndicate.
