Northern Irish crime drama BLOODLANDS launched back in February, becoming the most watched local drama in history, with an average of 8.2 million viewers for its first episode. Speaking about season two James Nesbitt said: “I’m thrilled that viewers responded to Bloodlands so positively and that we will be returning for a second series. I’m always happy to be back in Northern Ireland and to reveal even more about Tom Brannick.”

The Almeida Theatre in London has extended its current run of THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH until November 27. The Yaël Farber’s production stars Saoirse Ronan as Lady Macbeth and James McArdle in the title role. The stars of beloved comedy DERRY GIRLS are preparing to bid farewell to the show after it was confirmed to be coming to an end after the next series. Series creator Lisa McGee, herself a Derry native, broke hearts across Ireland and beyond yesterday when she confirmed that the brilliant show would end next year after “one last adventure”.
