BLOODLANDS Season Two

Northern Irish crime drama BLOODLANDS launched back in February, becoming the most watched local drama in history, with an average of 8.2 million viewers for its first episode. Speaking about season two James Nesbitt said: “I’m thrilled that viewers responded to Bloodlands so positively and that we will be returning for a second series. I’m always happy to be back in Northern Ireland and to reveal even more about Tom Brannick.”

Irish actress Jamie Lee O’Donnell has shared an adorable snap with her DERRY GIRLS co-star Saoirse-Monica Jackson as she said they will be back on screens “very soon”. It was revealed earlier this year that there would be another season of the hit Channel 4 show and it would also be the final.

Live stream Ronan in MACBETH

The Almeida Theatre in London has extended its current run of THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH until November 27. The Yaël Farber’s production stars Saoirse Ronan as Lady Macbeth and James McArdle in the title role. The Almeida has now announced that the show will be streamed online between October 27 and October 30, with the actors performing live from the theatre each night.

BRIDGERTON Season 2 trailer

Galway’s own Nicola Coughlan may be best known for portraying Clare Devlin in DERRY GIRLS but she is more famous for her character as Penelope Featherington in the BRIDGERTON series. DERRY GIRLS to end with Season 3

The stars of beloved comedy DERRY GIRLS are preparing to bid farewell to the show after it was confirmed to be coming to an end after the next series. Series creator Lisa McGee, herself a Derry native, broke hearts across Ireland and beyond yesterday when she confirmed that the brilliant show would end next year after “one last adventure”.
