CRÁ gets November release

A chilling new crime drama is about to hit our screens this November, as BBC Northern Ireland prepares to launch its latest series, CRÁ. The show, which will also be available on BBC iPlayer, has just released an intriguing set of first-look photos that promise a dark and gripping tale from the Emerald Isle.

Set against the backdrop of a remote village in northwest Ireland, this six-part series follows a haunting discovery that shatters the community’s carefully maintained silence. When Garda officer Barry Roche unearths a body in a local bog, what seems like a routine investigation quickly becomes deeply personal for his colleague, Conall Ó Súilleabháin. The victim is identified as Conall’s mother, who vanished without a trace 15 years ago.

Forced to step away from the official investigation due to his personal connection, Conall refuses to let the truth stay buried. He forms an unlikely alliance with a true-crime podcast journalist, and together they begin peeling back the layers of secrecy that have smothered the village for years. Their investigation promises to uncover the dark secrets that lurk beneath the surface of this seemingly peaceful community.

The series features an impressive ensemble cast of Irish talent, including Dónall Ó Héalai, Alex Murphy, Hannah Brady, Barry McGovern, Róisín Murphy, Tara Breathnach, Caoimhe Farren, and Alan Mahon. Adding to its authenticity, CRÁ will be presented in Irish with English subtitles, offering viewers an immersive experience into the heart of Irish culture and storytelling.

Stay tuned for the exact premiere date, which will be announced soon. This November, prepare to uncover the truth that lies buried in the bog.
