Eve Hewson, the accomplished Irish actress, is set to reprise her role as Becka in the highly anticipated second season of the dark comedy series BAD SISTERS. Hewson, part of the talented Garvey sisters quintet, has carved out an impressive television career alongside her film work.

Prior to BAD SISTERS, Hewson was known for her standout performance in the FX series THE KNICK, where she played the character of Nurse Lucy Elkins opposite Clive Owen. Her portrayal of the complex and compassionate nurse earned her critical acclaim and helped establish her as a rising talent on the small screen.

In BAD SISTERS, Hewson shines as the free-spirited and loyal Becka, one of the five close-knit Garvey sisters navigating the aftermath of their brother-in-law’s “accidental death.” As the series delves deeper into the sisters’ secrets and relationships, Hewson’s character is sure to play a central role in the unfolding drama.

Racing dynasties and family drama collide in Hulu’s newly announced pilot DOWNFORCE, which will pair Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson with Emmy winner Murray Bartlett (THE WHITE LOTUS).

The comedy series centers on the tense reunion between Victoria, a cutthroat investment banker played by Hewson, and her estranged father Sir Trevor, portrayed by Bartlett. When circumstances force Victoria to return to her family’s prestigious racing empire, father and daughter must reconcile their differences—and their competing expertise—to preserve the team’s storied reputation.

Bartlett takes on the role of the charismatic Sir Trevor, the racing outfit’s bombastic founder, while Hewson portrays his business-savvy daughter Victoria, whose financial acumen could either save or destroy her father’s legacy. The show explores whether their complementary skills—his racing knowledge and her business prowess—can overcome years of separation.

The announcement comes as Hewson basks in the glory  of her latest project, Netflix’s mystery drama THE PERFECT COUPLE, now streaming.

Irish actress Eve Hewson will be starring alongside Nicole Kidman in a new Netflix murder mystery, based on the novel written by Elin Hilderbrand. In THE PERFECT COUPLE, Eve will play Amelia Sacks, who is about to marry into one of the richest families in Nantucket. The impressive cast also includes Billy Howle, who plays the groom Benji, and Irish actor Jack Reynor, who plays his brother, Thomas. Dakota Fanning also graces the screen as Thomas’ wife. THE PERFECT COUPLE premieres Sept 5.

In FLORA AND SON, Hewson embodies a single mother in Dublin navigating the challenges of raising her troubled son, Max (Orén Kinlan), while grappling with minimal support from her ex-husband (Jack Reynor). The story takes a turn when she discovers a discarded guitar and embarks on lessons guided by an online instructor based in Los Angeles, portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Through this journey, Flora discovers her voice and a poignant connection with her son. Critically acclaimed for her performance, Deadline praised Hewson’s “tour-de-force breakout,” while the Boston Herald hailed her as “glorious” in the titular role.

FLORA AND SON for Oscar glory?

Irish director John Carney’s musical-comedy FLORA AND SON, is set for two submissions for Best Original Song at this year’s Oscars. Out of the 18 song track list, Apple has chosen to submit ‘High Life,’ and ‘Meet in the Middle’ songs composed by Carney, Gary Clark and Flora and Son lead actor Eve Hewson. Shot on location in Dublin’s city centre, FLORA AND SON stars Hewson (daughter of U2’s Bono) as a struggling single mother living in The Liberties, attempting to rekindle her relationship with her estranged son, through the connective power of music.
