The first look at DERRY GIRLS actress Nicola Coughlan on the set of the upcoming season of DOCTOR WHO has been released. Known for her breakout roles in DERRY GIRLS and BRIDGERTON, Coughlan will be guest starring alongside SEX EDUCATION star Ncuti Gatwa’s DOCTOR WHO. The show’s 15th series will also introduce CORONATION STREET‘s Millie Gibson as the Doctor’s companion, Ruby Sunday. Gatwa’s Doctor is set to debut on Christmas Day this year, with an episode entitled THE CHURCH ON RUBY ROAD.

DERRY GIRLS star Nicola Coughlan has been named TV actor of the year at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2022. Coughlan has seen a meteoric rise in fame in recent years due to her role in BRIDGERTON where she plays Penelope Featherington. The second season of the show debut on Netflix earlier this year, amassing 193 million viewing hours in its opening weekend.

Irish actress Nicola Coughlan has revealed that the storyline in BRIDGERTON 3 will centre around the relationship between her character Penelope Featherington and her long term crush Colin Bridgerton. The DERRY GIRLS star revealed the news that season three of the hugely popular Netflix period drama will tell the love story of her Penelope and Colin, who is played by Luke Newton, in an Instagram post.

DERRY GIRLS star Nicola Coughlan is going to the big screen. The BRIDGERTON actress, who first captured Irish hearts as Clare Devlin in DERRY GIRLS, will star alongside SEX EDUCATION‘s Aimee Lou Wood and Shrill’s Lolly Adefope in a new historical comedy. According to Variety, SEIZE THEM!, is set in dark ages Britain and follows a Queen (Wood) who is toppled by a revolution led by Coughlan’s character.

The second series of the show, which will air on March 25, will move towards the romantic interests of Daphne’s brother Anthony Bridgerton, who is portrayed by Jonathan Bailey.
