Paul Mescal (NORMAL PEOPLE) will reportedly join Josh O’Connor (THE CROWN) to play Lionel and David in THE HISTORY OF SOUND, based on the award-winning story of the same name. The story follows two men who set out to record the experiences of their countrymen during WWI.
The popular drama, set in Ireland and based on a novel of the same name by Sally Rooney, is nominated in the director, editing, sound, and photography and lighting categories for a fictional television show. Paul Mescal has been nominated in the leading actor category for his performance as Connell, and Daisy Edgar-Jones is nominated for leading actress for her role as Marianne.
Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones have been nominated for Critics’ Choice Awards. The rising stars were both nominated in the Best Actor/Best Actress Limited Series categories, for their fantastic performances in NORMAL PEOPLE.
