SALTBURN release date
Barry Keoghan’s new film SALTBURN hits theatres on November 17th. The psychological darkly comedic thriller stars Barry Keoghan as Oliver Quick, a lonely student at Oxford University in the mid-2000s. He soon takes an interest in Felix (played by Jacob Elordi), a wealthy and charismatic student who invites him to spend the summer at the titular estate with his eccentric family. Barry is a rising star in Hollywood at the moment, and the 31-year-old Irish actor is known for movies such as the Marvel blockbuster ETERNALS and THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

In a new Esquire magazine interview, Oscar-winning Irish actor, Barry Keoghan, discusses how he joined the DC Extended Universe. using a make-shift audition tape of himself, Keoghan successfully caught the attention of BATMAN director Matthew Reeves, who offered him a role in the film. Not as the Riddler, though—that was scooped by Paul Dano. Instead, Reeves tapped Keoghan as the Joker.

When the two men meet in the mid-2000s, Oliver finds himself drawn into Felix’s world. Keoghan’s character only falls further into the foreign territory when Felix invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for the summer.

THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN star Barry Keoghan and EUPHORIA‘S Jacob Elordi are set to play a gay couple in a new erotic thriller. The upcoming movie called SALTBURN has been described as being “a wicked tale of privilege and desire”. The film was written, directed and produced by Emerald Fennell, who won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 2021 for PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN. Margot Robbie has also signed on as one of the producers. The LGBTQ+ movie will be released in cinema in New York and Los Angeles on November 24 before a wider release on December 1.
